Our take
The **Setas viewpoint is Seville's modern icon-entry** — the philosophical opposite of the Giralda. Where the Giralda transports you 800 years back to Almohad splendour, Las Setas place you in 2011 with the world's largest laminated wood structure (Jürgen Mayer). For **€18 you access 3 experiences in one**: the 360° viewpoint with unique views over the historic centre (Giralda, Cathedral, river beyond), the «Feeling Sevilla» immersive experience (15 min wraparound film) and the Aurora light show at nightfall (AI changing every night). The ticket is valid for 48 h with TWO entries — the optimal play is to go up 30 min before sunset for both atmospheres (day + Aurora) in a single visit. **Who it's for:** first-timers in Seville who want orientation from height, amateur photographers (sunset views are top-tier), families with kids (shaded Plaza Mayor + Aurora hits all ages), architecture or 21st-century enthusiasts (engineering feat in laminated wood). **Who it's NOT for:** visitors with severe vertigo (28 m, suspended walkways), anyone who already climbed the Giralda and just wants a similar view (redundant), visitors with only 1 hour who'd prefer UNESCO culture (better Cathedral or Royal Alcázar). **NOTE ON THE ANTIQUARIUM MUSEUM** (5 m underground, Roman remains from 1st century AD): NOT included in this ticket. Separate entry (~€2 on site) and worth it if you're into Roman archaeology — mosaics, layered Almohad houses, Seville's pre-Islamic context. Pairs perfectly with the viewpoint visit in the same morning.

Meeting point
Enter through **Level -1 (lower level)** on Plaza de la Encarnación, next to the escalators connecting to the shaded Plaza Mayor. Validate your ticket at the access control and use the QR code to download the multilingual audio guide BEFORE going up.
Metro: line 1, Encarnación stop (dedicated station beneath Las Setas — direct access to the venue). Bus: lines 27, 32 (Encarnación stops). MetroCentro tram: Plaza Nueva stop (5 min walk). The structure is impossible to miss: it dominates the entire Plaza de la Encarnación with its six 28 m laminated wood «mushrooms». Viewpoint access is NOT from the visible upper level — you must enter via the lift on Level -1, next to the Encarnación Market. Hours: Monday to Sunday from 09:30 to 00:30 (last entry 23:45). Allow ~45 min for the full route if you stop for photos.
The experience
What you'll see
A self-guided entry to the Metropol Parasol (popularly «Las Setas de Sevilla»), the world's largest laminated wood structure — designed by Jürgen Mayer in 2011. The ticket combines 3 experiences in one:
- 360° viewpoint at 28 m — serpentine walkways with unique views over the Giralda, the Cathedral, the historic centre and the Guadalquivir river.
- Feeling Sevilla (15 min): immersive film on a curved-screen room — travel through Seville via its senses (music, scent, rhythm).
- Aurora: LED light show at nightfall with AI — Seville's largest light installation, changing every night based on temperature, humidity and crowd data.
Downloadable audio guide in 8 languages (ES, EN, IT, FR, DE, PT, KO, ZH) accessed via QR scan at entry. Ticket valid for 2 entries in 48 h — perfect for combining day + night.
How it works
Book your date and time slot (open access within the booked hour).
Head to Level -1 of Plaza de la Encarnación, next to the escalators. Do NOT try to climb up from street level — viewpoint access is via lift from the basement.
Validate your mobile ticket at the access control. Scan the QR to download the audio guide in your language BEFORE going up.
Take the lift to the viewpoint. Walk the walkways at your own pace (~20-30 min). Follow the audio guide as you stroll.
Enjoy «Feeling Sevilla» (15 min) in the immersive room — included in the ticket.
Return at nightfall within 48 h to see Aurora (no extra charge) — the show starts at sunset.

- Families with children — the shaded Plaza Mayor + Aurora is a hit at all ages.
- 21st-century architecture fans — the structure is a laminated-wood engineering feat.
- Visitors with limited time who want Seville «at a glance» before diving into specific monuments.
Who it's NOT for
- Visitors with severe vertigo (28 m, suspended walkways).
- Anyone who already climbed the Giralda and just wants a similar view (redundant).
- Visitors with only 1 hour who'd rather see UNESCO culture (better Cathedral or Royal Alcázar).
- Anyone looking for a live guide — this is self-guided via app.
- Mid-summer noon visitors without sun protection — the upper level is harsh under direct sun.
Accessibility
Fully wheelchair accessible. Lifts from Level -1 to the viewpoint. Upper walkways with ramps and railings. Adapted WC available. The lower Plaza Mayor is level with no barriers. ONLY visitors with severe vertigo should reconsider the elevated walkways.
